Jeremy Lin , 34 Points, 12 Assists and 9 3's...Raymond Felton What Have You Done For Us Lately?

Did you have a chance to watch Lin and the Rockets last night?  Fun stuff!  Lin tying Robert Horry's  Rocket record for most 3's made in their overtime loss . So I   gather Lin will no  longer carry the tag  " can't  shoot"!
Through hard work , discipline and strength conditioning Lin continues to improve his  game  and shooting range. Let's put it this way...You can no longer leave him open beyond the 3 point line.. Last two games, 31 points and 34 last night. He's here to stay.
   Lin vs. Felton...Advantage Lin!!!

Don't Look Now; Rockets With Harden, J Lin and Company Have Won 5 in a Row and 12 Out of 15!

Harden, Lin, Assik ,Chandler Parsons and  Carlos Del Fino...Yes, that's the 2012-2013 Houston Rockets! This year was supposed to be a "total rebuilding  project". Lo and behold they get Lin, Assik and pull off the Harden deal! Harden has been a top 5 player all year, since day 1 . Lin , filling up stat sheets. The rest of the players  trusting Lin.
The Rockets under Kevin McHale , can run, shoot, pass and score. The team has really gelled , and besides Harden they have a number of weapons. Hey, I watched em run circles around  Kobe, Nash and the Lakers last night. Fun stuff!

  Let's just enjoy the ride!

Jeremy Lin, I'm Proud of You; You May Not Be Raymond Felton, But You Can Play!

Linsanity returned to the Garden last night in a Rockets uniform. Knicks go in with a 10-0 record at home and best  record in the East . Remember , one of those losses was a blowout in Houston at the hands of the Rockets.
So what happens  last night in front of a festive holiday crowd? Lin, Harden and Company thoroughly dismantle, manhandle, toy with and humiliate the Knicks. Lin, 22 points, 8 assists, 4 bounds and  without a doubt the quickest and most energetic guy on the floor. Did Lin and Harden expose perhaps the Knicks only weakness? Trouble with lightening quick guards?
Don't know for sure. But I do know one thing...Jeremy Lin belongs!

Lin's Gone; Ok Felton Get in Shape, And Kidd Please Don't Drive(Not To the Hoop You Knucklehead) Your Car Anymore...Get A Driver Already!

Tuesday night was dramatic, anticlimactic , disappointing and depressing all at once. I'm of course referring to losing Lin to the Rockets. The Knicks assumed too much, underestimated Lin and the Rockets took us to the cleaners . Great for Lin, the Rockets and the City of Houston. They'll get 3 years at least of Linsanity! Wow. We only had it for 25 games . I'll bet they sell out every game . Of course they need some pieces, but I believe Lin will be an all-star caliber point guard if he continues to work hard , get stronger and progress under Kevin McHale's system. I feel a little bad for Lin that Houston will be a work in progress. Hope he doesn't get stuck in a "long-term rebuilding scenario". As for James Dolan, you demonstrated that you're only positive attribute is having been " born into money ". You let a "megastar go"! Probably against the advice of Grunwald, Woodson et. al. You misled your fans, sold out all the season tickets and let the "Golden Goose" go. Sneaky stuff!
Enough of that . Time to move on. Let's hope Felton regains his form from 2010, Amare as well and that JR Smith can show some consistency . Let's not forget future Hall of Famer , Jason Kidd. If everybody plays together and up to to their capabilites they can win 50..Then who knows.
So Knick fans, stop crying in your beer. We still got some real pieces, finished strong last year and expectations are high.
Remember , unfortunately we can't put our owner out on waivers!

James Dolan, Are You Fu__in Kidding Me? Not Signing Lin Would Be The Garden's Biggest Mistake Ever!

I'm beside myself . The pieces seemed to be falling into place. Mike Woodson assured us on numerous occasions that " Jeremy Lin is our starting point guard. You don't lose your spot when you're injured ". Kidd would mentor Lin and give them 20-25 minutes a game. Camby's our backup. More "Linsanity ". Looking forward to training camp.
So what do the "Garden Brass " (Garden "ass " is more like it ) do? They don't give Lin a contract , wait for other teams to court him and lo and fu__in behold he signs a three year deal with Houston and now it seems that the Knicks won't match the offer and Lin will be gone forever . We're talking about Jeremy Lin here. A guy who came out of nowhere to start 25 games, put up sick #'s and basically saved the Knicks season and electrified the NBA, America and the world! Markerting megastar, solid citizen...Can only get better . So what do the Knicks do? They go out and get a fat Raymond Felton . Oy vey.
The sticking point is now about the $14 million in year 3 of the contract and "Luxury Tax " ramifications . Lin will pay for himself 100 times over!
So here we are 24 hours away from the time to match the offer about to expire. No Lin still . If he's not signed, he'll always be known as the one who got away. And Carmelo be quiet, stop chiming in . Your comments are not welcome.
Somehow I hope a miracle happens and Lin stays.

If not , all I can say is "let's go Rock-ets"!

Lin-Sanity...It's Great...But the Bigger Picture is the Knicks Are Playing Like a TEAM!

I'm in love with the whole Jeremy Lin " fairy tale-feel good story"! New York, Chinatown, The NBA , Harvard, Asian-Americans, nationally....Globally. Lin-tastic story. It's Lin-gasmic. Hope it continues . Amare is back, Melo to rejoin the team soon. Believe me, nobody needed 7 straight wins worse than the Knicks(and the NBA) . Is the sky the limit ?
But while Lin has been nothing short of Lin-canny, look how his play has rejuvenated and energized a team of role players. Tyson Chandler a force around the hoop. Fields looking like the Fields of last year...And smiling! Shumpert , not having to play the point is re-energized. Terrific "D", fearless...hitting big shots. Novak(until the last 2 games ) shooting like an all-star. Jared Jeffries doing it "all" !
Don't say anything, but this group actually believes they're a "good team ". And right now , they are . Let's not discuss any negatives now ...Just stay positive.

And let's not take anybody lightly. No time to get overconfident.

MSG and Time Warner...Get your sh_t together!

Jeremy Lin, Is He For Real, Or a Flash in The Pan?

This has not been "the dream year " that die-hard Knick fans had envisioned with Amare, Melo , Chandler and Company. Strike shortened season, an almost non-existent training camp, injuries galore to Melo , shooting woes for "all" and most glaringly Stoudemire looking lost for most of the year with the exception of "the breakout game " against the Bulls last Wednesday . Our condolences and prayers go out to the entire Stoudemire family for their recent devastating loss.
So I think it would be fair to say that there has not been a lot to cheer about . Two very tough losses in a row against the Bulls and Celtics . Things were not looking good . Too early in the year to throw in the towel , but lets face it...Jared Jeffries is not taking us "to the promised land"!
So Saturday night, when most New Yorkers were chomping at the bit for Sunday night and the Super Bowl to start already, out of a magical fairy tale script comes little Jeremy Lin...Yes, Harvard economics grad with a 3.1 GPA(Higher than his NBA career scoring average ) . I have to confess(no bullshit) , that earlier in the year when I watched him during "garbage time " in a few blowouts I did say to myself that this kid is the closest thing we have to a bona fide distributing-type point guard .
But never, ever, ever did I or anyone ever imagine he would come out of nowhere Saturday night and score 25 and lead us to a win that was so desperately needed against the Nets . Can you top that ? Yes indeed! Last night against a good Jazz team he does it again...28 points , 8 assists , spectacular play after spectacular play. Correct decision after correct decision. Drives, left hand, right hand , finding the open man, jumpers and the biggest shot of the night a three pointer with the shot clock expiring to seal things ! Who cares about the 8 turnovers.
The Garden, the team, New York, the Chinese-American community, the NBA...Everybody going nuts . Lin jerseys being printed by the thousands ...Wowee!
Will it last ? Will other teams adjust ? Is the surprise factor gone ? Is he strong enough to play every day? What will happen when Baron Davis is ready to play ?
Anyway, lets wait and see and enjoy the moment . For now , can we pull off three straight with Lin at the helm?

Your thoughts?

Go figure.
