Oscar Pistorius Gets 5 Years, But It Will Seem Much More Like One To One And A Half Years!!!

  Pistorius is one very lucky guy!  He shoots his girlfriend. Is found guilty on the lowest count. Which, oh by the way carries  no minimum sentence. He gets  5  years. I'm sure in a celebrity  wing. No hard labor?
   To add icing on the cake. First offense, etc....He serves 10-20 months and the balance  will be served via house arrest/community service.  Slap on the wrist to say the least!  Still a young man when he gets out..Lets see.

Believe It Or Not, Oscar Pistorius Will Not Be Convicted of Murder!!

  In  a  mind-blowing decision ,  the  Presiding  Judge in the Pistorius  murder  trial has indicated she will not convict  him of the two most serious murder charges. While a formal decision is due today, the Judge indicated that  the Prosecution  has  not met it's burden of proof.
   She did seem to foreshadow  that  the  "Blade  Runner " would be convicted of "negligent  homicide", a far lesser charge.  The lesser charge carries,  I believe a five year max sentence, as opposed to 25  years for premeditated murder. The  preliminary rulings I'm sure have sent shock waves through South Africa .

  Let's wait for the verdict today!!  Crazy stuff....

Oscar Pistorius' Legal Troubles Get Worse!

  Oscar Pistorius, the world  famous ,"Blade  Runner " , will now face two new gun charges in addition to the two " murder-related charges"  he faces already. Wow, you talk about a fall from grace! Olympics one moment. The next being charged with a violent murder of his girlfriend. What went wrong..Obviously ,the prosecutors brought the second group of charges to  show his  reckless  propensities and gun use. 
  Probably will result in two separate trials. In the meantime Oscar, enjoy your freedom. May be your last.

Pistorius Case Starting to Remind Me of OJ!

The  OJ Simpson  criminal  trial was probably the most closely watched and  obsessed over trial  in American history. Who could forget Judge Ito, Marcia Clark, Mark Fuhrman, "The Glove", Johnnie Cochran  and The L.A. Crime lab. The trial had a life of it's own. Really put Court TV on the map
   Well the Oscar Pistorius trial  in South Africa has all the makings of  "hypnotizing that nation". Mega-star , legendary athlete. Extremely popular.  Shooting of his girlfriend. Botched early investigation and the removal of lead Detective Botha, who has had charges of murder reinstated against him from a shooting he was involved in several years ago.
   And hey, we've only just completed the bail hearing!

What a Meteoric Fall From Grace, Oscar Pistorius Goes from Olympics to Being Charged With Murder! Holy SH_T.

 Wowee. Just last summer, " the Blade Runner ", a double amputee  440M  sprinter made history by competing in the Olympics on the South African  team. Pistorius was an inspiration to  individuals with and without disabilities worldwide. You couldn't help but to  pull for the guy. Top of the world!
   Now, less than a year later, he has  fallen to  the  lowest of low. Yes, arrested and charged with murder as reported today. Condolences go out to the "victim's family". Horrible stuff.  If true, very, very sad. Either way,  he deserves  to defend himself to the fullest extent permissible under the law.
  At this point I know nothing about the facts or details . Sadly, soon enough more lurid details will surface .
 Terrible, tragic event !

Oscar Pistorius, "The Blade Runner ", and South African 4x400 Relay Team Advance to Final!

The Blade Runner and his Countrymen are alive and well and via a ruling on their appeal, will run in the finals. What an opportunity for Oscar and South Africa to make history. Just getting there is quite noteworthy in historical perspective!
Moral of the story, "you can do anything you set your mind to" .

Goldman Feel-Good Stories; Oscar Pistorius, South African "Double Amputee" to Compete in the Track and Field World Championships...Wow!

Oscar Pistorius, born without fibulas in either leg, will be the first amputee athlete to compete in Track and Field's World Championships. Pistorius who runs with bilateral prosthetics was cleared to run by a 2008 decision making him eligible to compete. He will race in the 400 meters and the "4 x 400 relay" . Let me remind you he will be running against competitors with two natural legs. He will be attempting to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London.
While there is some surrounding controversy relating to "whether there is an advantage to racing " with light weight custom -made prostethics, his accomplishments in my opinion are breathtaking. The dedication , perseverence and inner toughness should be inspiration for all of us .
